Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using Dodo ("the App," "our Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

Description of Service

Dodo is a productivity application that provides:

• Screenshot-to-task conversion using AI
• Voice recording and transcription
• Task and calendar management
• Google Calendar integration
• AI-powered content analysis and organization

Account Registration

To use Dodo, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

Subscription and Payment

Free Tier

Our free tier provides basic functionality including screenshot capture, task management, and calendar integration with usage limitations.

Paid Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually
• Payment is processed through the App Store or Google Play
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled
• You can cancel anytime through your device's subscription settings
• Refunds are subject to App Store or Google Play policies

Price Changes

We reserve the right to change subscription prices with 30 days' notice. Changes will not affect your current billing cycle.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any illegal purpose
• Violate any laws in your jurisdiction
• Infringe upon the rights of others
• Upload malicious code or viruses
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Harass, abuse, or harm others
• Impersonate any person or entity
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service
• Use the Service to spam or send unsolicited messages
• Scrape, data mine, or use automated tools to access the Service

Content and Intellectual Property

Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create or upload to Dodo, including:

• Screenshots
• Voice recordings and transcriptions
• Tasks and notes
• Calendar events

By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.

Our Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, features, and branding, is owned by Dodo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

AI Processing and Third-Party Services

We use artificial intelligence and third-party services to provide our features:

• AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic) process your content to extract tasks and transcribe audio
• Google Calendar API syncs your calendar data
• These services operate under their own terms of service
• We implement safeguards to protect your data during processing

Data and Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data:

• Screenshots are deleted after processing
• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest
• You can export or delete your data at any time
• We do not sell your personal information

Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service, but:

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted access
• The Service may be temporarily unavailable for maintenance
• We may modify or discontinue features with notice
• We are not responsible for data loss due to service interruptions

We recommend regularly backing up important data.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account if you:

• Violate these Terms
• Engage in fraudulent activity
• Fail to pay subscription fees
• Request account deletion

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. You may export your data before termination.

Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND:

• We do not guarantee accuracy of AI-generated content
• You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all tasks and transcriptions
• We are not liable for missed tasks, incorrect transcriptions, or data loss
• The Service may contain bugs or errors

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DODO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS, DATA LOSS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dodo from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Dodo is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
